Address: Castle Ham Lodge Castle Road Okehampton EX20 1FA
We are now meeting at Castle Ham Lodge which is part of the new Guiness Trust complex on the old Castle Hospital site. Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings. If this will be your first time and you would like more information please ring Rachel, our clerk, on 01837 861219.
Meeting for Worship Time: 10:30am until 11.30 each Sunday. Meeting for worship is followed by refreshments and a chance to chat with other Friends and attenders. We have a library with a wide range of books about Quakers for you to borrow.
Children and Young People’s Meeting Times: Second Sunday of the month (not August). We have up to 8 children and young people at our monthly children's meetings and sometimes as many as 13. Our ages range from 1 to 17. We start off in the main Meeting for Worship for about 15-20 minutes and then leave with two adults for our own activities. Recently these have included learning about well known Quakers, listening to the interesting life stories of older members of our meeting, clay modelling, making books, poetry, learning about Fairtrade, making connections with a children's home in Malawi and having discussions. We make sure there is something for all age groups.
